EHA Research Grants [revised]

An EHA Research Grant is a financial award that can help you:

  • Carry out basic or translational lab-based research in hematology
  • Get valuable research and leadership experience
  • Advance in your career as a hematologist

These grants:

  • Last for a period of three years
  • Provide an annual financial award of €50,000 to €80,000, depending on the type of grant

General eligibility criteria

You must be an EHA member or EHA guest to apply for an EHA Research Grant.

You can be of any nationality, but your home or host institute must be an academic research center or proven equivalent. One of them must be in located in Europe.

In all cases, your application must:

  • Have the support of an academic department and institute
  • Relate to basic and translational lab-based research in hematology

Your application will not be eligible if it relates to:

  • Purely clinical research projects
  • Projects in health economics
  • Other non-lab-based research

However, it may be eligible if it relates to the translational part of a clinical trial. In this case, it must be both relevant and novel.
