Administrative Assistant Education
The European Hematology Association (EHA) is a non-profit organization that supports and connects hematologists worldwide. EHA promotes excellence in patient care, research, and education in hematology towards a cure for all blood disorders. Our programs and services serve medical professionals, researchers, and scientists. We provide programs to enhance the professional development of hematologists. We support and mentor career development and research, harmonize hematology education, and advocate for hematologists and hematology at local and international levels. Based in the Netherlands, EHA is a foundation led and supported in its activities by a Board of distinguished peers, an international Executive Office, and specialized committees.
For our Education department, we are looking for a talented and self-starting
Administrative Assistant Education (36 - 40 hours)
The Education team at EHA has 9 members and is responsible for the EHA educational programs in Hematology. As an administrative assistant in Education, you will assist your colleagues in several projects related to Education, including (but not restricted to) the European Hematology Exam, the Progress Test, the Hematology Curriculum review, the Masterclass, course creation either in house or externally, coordination of promotional activities with EHA Communication department, organization of committee meetings, and more.
Responsibilities of this role will include:
- assist the Education team members in various projects as needed
- European Hematology Exam
- EHA Masterclass
- Progress Test
- Lighting the Flame: A project for medical students
- EHA Campus (online learning)
- Retreats and meetings organization
- Communication with experts/committee members/National Societies
- Other projects as needed
- manage complex project boards effectively
- manage the Education department's email inbox
- request EBAH accreditation for courses and manage the participants' course attendance
- record minutes of meetings, maintenance of records, and follow up on action points
- performance of duties with high accuracy and attention to details, in a fast-paced, continually changing environment
Your profile
- a bachelor’s degree, preferably with a background in administration (candidates without a bachelor’s degree can apply if they have administrative experience)
- experience with administrative tasks and/or project coordination
- fluency in English and, excellent written and oral communication skills
- excellent computer literacy; must be able to work with Microsoft Office independently
- experience with project management tools (ideally Monday.com) is a plus
- autonomous with excellent organizational and communication skills
- detail-oriented, result-oriented and flexible attitude
- strong time-management skills
- ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team
- ready to spend at least 60% of your week in our office in The Hague, with the option of working from home for the rest of the time
- in possession of a valid residence and work permit for the Netherlands

The salary range is between €2,500 – €3,600 gross per month based on full-time employment (40 hours per week), and based on education and experience. EHA is situated in the center of The Hague, near Central Station, and is easily accessible.
