The European Hematology Association (EHA) has joined the European Cancer Organisation, a not-for-profit federation of organizations working in cancer at the European level. EHA’s membership application was approved by the General Assembly of the European Cancer Organisation on November 18, 2020.
Meet Willem Fibbe, our volunteer of the month
Professor Willem E. Fibbe has been involved in EHA over a period of twenty years, starting as counselor from 2000-2004. From 2007-2009 he served as President of EHA and spent ten years as a member of the EHA Board. He has recently joined several committees including the Nomination Committee, Research Committee and the Governance Committee. This second edition of HOPE Asia was presented together with the Sri Lanka College of Haematologists (SLCH) on October 16 and 17, 2020. HOPE Asia 2020 was originally planned in Colombo, but due to governmental restrictions this meeting was made fully virtual.
Highlights of Past EHA (HOPE) EMEA 2020
In the second weekend of October, EHA and the Turkish Society of Hematology (TSH) kicked-off the very first virtual HOPE meeting. The meeting was attended by more than 300 attendees from Turkey, the Middle East, North Africa and the Balkan (EMEA) region, in total 34 countries were represented.
