EHA is joined forces with the Albanian Association of Hematology (AAH) to organize the EHA-AAH Balkan Hematology Tutorial.

At EHA we highly value international collaboration, and we aim to foster long-term relations with our national society partners. EHA is teaming up with the Albanian Association of Hematology (AAH) to organize this tutorial, but also invited the partner national societies of the Balkan region to provide local speakers for the program.
The meeting was held in a hybrid format with the majority of the faculty and participants attending virtually, with a small group of attendees in Tirana, Albania.
Goal of the meeting
This two-day meeting aimed to provide a unique opportunity for participants to test their knowledge in various areas of lymphoid malignancies. The meeting was an opportunity for participants to update their knowledge on the revised classifications of target diseases, the biology and pathophysiology of selected pathologies, the diagnostic approaches to lymphomas and myelomas, new treatment strategies and guidelines, and to learn about relevant clinical trials.
Program
The EHA-AAH Balkan Hematology Tutorial program focused on a variety of topics. The following main topics were covered:

Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (Indolent)

The program included presentations and self-assessment cases from European speakers, in addition to case presentations by speakers from the Balkan region followed by time for discussion.

After attending this Tutorial, you will be able to:
- better know the origin, mechanism, classification, diagnosis, and prognostic factors of lymphoid malignancies,
- know the best treatment for lymphoid malignancies, and
- describe, diagnose, classify, and treat patients with this group of neoplasms.
